Tobias Bjerregaard, Founder and CEO
Dr. Tobias Bjerregaard is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Teklatech A/S. In 2005, Dr. Bjerregaard invented and patented several semiconductor technological innovations in the areas of floorplanning and clock distribution networks. Under Dr. Bjerregaard's leadership, Teklatech introduced the first version of FloorDirector™, the company's flagship EDA software solution that became commercially available in 2008.
Dr. Bjerregaard has spent close to a decade focusing on micro-electronics and intra-chip communications. During his Ph.D. research he discovered a novel approach to address the stringent demands of next-generation semiconductor industry. His patented technologies enable companies to eliminate costly silicon re-spins and achieve faster time-to-market of smaller, faster, more profitable semiconductor products that exploit the full potential of nanometer technologies.
Prior to founding Teklatech, Dr. Bjerregaard worked as a post doctoral researcher at the Technical University of Denmark, from where he holds a Ph.D. in intra-chip communication, as well as a MSc.EE. in micro-electronics. During his Ph.D. studies, Dr. Bjerregaard has served as a Student Member of the Ph.D. Program Committee at his university and as a Ph.D. Representative on the board of his department. Before his Ph.D. studies, Dr. Bjerregaard worked with IP Semiconductors in various management and technical positions.
Dr. Bjerregaard has received numerous prestigious accolades for his individual achievements and industry contributions, including the Best Paper Award for his outstanding work on “A Scheduling Discipline for Latency and Bandwidth Guarantees in Asynchronous Network-on-Chip” published by IEEE (2005), and the AEG Educational and Research Award (2005). Dr. Bjerregaard has written and presented a range of papers for leading industry publications and conferences and has worldwide recognition for his contribution and achievements.
Martin Lohmann, VP of Software Engineering
Dr. Lohmann brings to Teklatech more than 10 years of extensive experience in mathematical modeling and software algorithms. Prior to joining Teklatech, Dr. Lohmann was responsible for the software development of highly complex mathematical data processing methods for the Cosmic Satellite USA. Dr. Lohmann received the special COSMIC Medallion for his contribution to the COSMIC mission. Previously, he spent three years at Danish Meteorological Institute as an algorithm software developer and project manager for a number of projects for the European Space Agency (ESA). Prior to this, Dr. Lohmann spent 4 years at LIC Engineering where he developed algorithms for underwater acoustic data processing.
Dr. Lohmann holds a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Denmark, and a MSc.Eng. in mathematical modeling. Dr. Lohmann has presented and written many papers for leading industry publications and conferences.
